ABOUT ME

My love for makeup started at a young age. I would mix up different concoctions for my dolls hair and faces, made out of lotion and shampoo, kool-aid.....whatever I could get my hands on! It's not surprising I would grow up to become a makeup artist! In 2010 I went to SpaTech Cosmetology school and pursued my license. After school I continued my education, apprenticing under several distinguished artists including, celebrity artist Laurel Wiley and Tony and Guy makeup artist Adan Guzman. I learned how to airbrush and picked up severlal tips and tricks along the way. In 2012 I was hired as an airtist with MAC cosmetics, a lifelong dream of mine. There, I met several amazing artists who taught me so much and have continued to fuel my passion for the industry.

I decided to start Nikki Neal Makeup Artistry as a way to offer on site, freelance services for whatever my clients needs were. I feel strongly that attitude is just as important as skill and my company promise is to always be myself, relaxed while efficient and remaining up to date on all the latest techniques and products.  And of course to make sure we have a blast working together!

I have been blessed to do a variety of works with some amazing people. I have worked with noted photographers such as Stewart Smith and Gary Lowell. I've worked on video shoots for Kate Winslet with several celebrity cast members, including Jane Seymour, Dick Van Dyke, Charles Shaughnessy and many talented extras. I also worked on a short film called Rendezvous made right here in Maine where I did all the makeup! The celebrity clientelle for that film include: Emmy winning actor David Lago, Katarina Morhacova and Christopher Kerson. I did rock icon Nancy Wilson's hair and makeup for her Maine wedding. As well as a video shoot for Liberty Mutual as Chris O'Donnell's hair and makeup artist.
